Multani Mitti or Fullers earth is an excellent ingredient to have a spotless and glowing skin. Indians have traditionally used it in their face packs to cure acne and blemishes. Multani mitti is a natural cooling agent that heals our skin from within and leaves it radiant and soft. It is a boon for oily and acne prone skin as weekly use of Multani mitti reduces pimples, scars and even works on their marks too. Moreover Multani Mitti is known to remove tan. Now when such nature has such a miracle ingredient how can Patanjali not use it. They have made two products out of Multani mitti- Patanjali Multani Mitti Soap and Patanjali Multani Mitti Face pack. Here I am going to review the soap which has become my holy grail now-a-days.
What it claims:
Useful in rejuvenating, nourishing and glorifying the skin. Useful in removing dryness and roughness of skin.

All the ingredients are written in Hindi and so I am writing their names in English.

- Multani Mitti

Patanjali Multani Mitti Soap comes in a card board packaging which has a transparent plastic at the front to see the product inside. The soap is further protected by a plastic covering which is a good thing done by the brand. All the information about the product along with a detailed ingredient list is mentioned at the back which is very essential. Though the soap claims to be a Multani Mitti soap there is no picture of Multani Mitti at the front but a picture of neem plant which is quite misleading. All the names along with the product names are written in Hindi which very much proves its Swadeshi claim. Overall the packaging is quite good for a 35 bucks soap.
My take on Patanjali Multani Mitti Soap:
I have literally grown up using Multani mitti for my face as a face pack. It always used to give me clear and problem-free skin which I used to love like hell. Though I never had severe acne issues, I had rashes and pimples in my puberty and teenage years. My mother always used to make a paste of Multani Mitti and Milk for me as I had combination skin and some parts are really dry. As years passed I forgot about this miracle ingredient but Patanjali reminded me this time.
The soap basically looks like a soap made of mitti or clay. The colour is pretty earthy and even the smell is earthy too. It is not as strong as other soaps from Patanjali which is a big big pro for me. The consistency is quite gritty and you can feel your skin is getting scrubbed every time you are taking a bath with this soap. It feels ayurvedic too. But the biggest pro is that it doesn’t dry out my skin at all and makes it soft and smooth. Moreover I have seen a visible reduction in my tan problem. I always use Biocare chocolate scrub for my hands and underarms but what about the rest of the body? Yes, you guessed it right. This Patanjali Multani Mitti soap.
It is a boon for people who have body acne issues and marks as it is a great but gentle exfoliator which will do only good. Moreover it has only natural ingredients and so it is suitable for all skin types even sensitive skin.
I use this soap thrice a week and after washing I apply my Nivea Whitening Body Lotion and seriously it has worked like magic. My skin is literally tan-free and I am loving it.
Three little pieces of advice:
If you have severe dry skin, donot use this product more than once as Mutani mitti absorbs excess oil and can leave your skin dry and flaky.
It is also not advisable to use in winters as it literally takes away all the moisture.
Don’t forget to apply a good amount of moisturiser and it literally scrubs the skin and you don’t want to keep your pores open.
